The summer is now over and the fall is such a great time I think in my next life I want to be a bear, I so love the fall and the thought of staying home and getting things done around my home really appeals to me, A good snow storm is a great way to regroup or just take a long nap in the afternoon.

In the mean time we need to close up the summer home and that is always a sad time for me.
Remember many factors must be kept in mind when we shut down besides the obvious we also have to remember the mice and squirrels and other live insects.
Protect & Secure your Vacation Home all Winter Long
*Clean all scraps of food, Take home anything that is not in a sealed container.
*Place the paper and tissue in the dryer.
*Take home all liquor (Kids brake in just because they can and the first thing they look for is alcohol.
*Install heavy dead-bolts
*Ask a neighbor to watch the home or install a hidden camera to monitor at your home.
*Never leave guns on the premises. Take them with you.
*Place some rubber Snakes around the sink hang from the window.
When you leave for the season, make sure you seal up everything. Try putting boards or barriers on your doors and windows. Go as “fortress” like as you see fit- esthetics won’t matter so much when you’re not at home! Intruders generally go for path of least resistance- so don’t give them any opportunity to think yours will be an easy steal. If you’re not intending to board up your windows, at the very least put up some dark blinds and close them before you go. You don’t want your valuables to be visible.
