It’s Time to Guard Yourself NOW!!!

Our homes aren’t safe and clean if the air inside is polluted with chemicals from
household cleaners. Follow these simple tips to protect your family’s health while you
clean your home.

1. Less is More
Dilute your cleaning supplies according to instructions and use only what’s
needed to get the job done.
2. Open the Window
Clean with windows and doors open so you don’t trap air pollution inside your
home.
3. Use Gloves and Other Precautions
Cleaning chemicals may harm or penetrate skin and eyes – check warning
labels.
4. Keep Kids Away
Children are more vulnerable to toxic chemicals. If they like to help, let them
clean with soap and water, not toxic cleaners.
5. Avoid “Antibacterial”
If your family is generally healthy, there’s no need to use potentially toxic “antibacterial”
products, according to the American Medical Association. Wash your
hands with plain soap and water.
6. Never Mix Bleach with Ammonia, Vinegar, or Other Acids
These combinations can produce deadly gases.
7. Don’t Be Fooled by Labels – Buy Certified Green Products
Label claims aren’t always true. Cleaning supplies certified by Green Seal or
EcoLogo meet green standards.
8. Try Natural Alternatives
Experiment with non-toxic options like vinegar and baking soda.
9. Take Care with Pine and Citrus Oil Cleaners
Avoid using these cleaners especially on smoggy days, when the ingredients
can react with ozone to produce cancer-causing formaldehyde.
10. Skip the Biggest Hazards
Avoid air fresheners, use a baking soda and water paste to clean the oven and
tackle toilet stains, and use a mechanical snake to unclog the drain.

I come from a very big family, Five brothers and sisters and my father is one of 15, every year my Mother & Father would cook for about 70 people, I can remember cutting the Raviolis like 25 boxes, and who knows how many turkeys Every year this would be the start of a Wonderful time. My parents and Aunts, Uncles would do what ever they had to do to make it a magical time for all of us, it makes me stop and think of what they gave up for us. When was the last time you stopped to think its not about me?

Sadly this year we lost 3 of my Aunts but their will never be a holiday season that I will forget what they did for us as kids.

Make Cherished Memories today it is one of the only things in your life that no one can ever take away from you and truly last a lifetime.

Make Wonderful Memories this Fathers Day

Make Wonderful Memories this Fathers Day Reflects our Childhood
later in life.

Fathers Day is always a day to reflect on my Grounding, bringing me to a wonderful time in my childhood.

As I think back to fathers day I have to go back to when my grandfathers was alive, and the bond we had in my family. My father has a very large family 15 brothers and sister. So it was no wonder that and family party were really big, and that was just the family.

We used to go to my Grandfathers home. Yesterday I decided to go back in time and see where it all started so I took a trip to Flushing Queens NY and over to Robinson Street, where my Father was born. We spent many fathers day with my aunts uncles & first cousin $ 2 cousin. When ever we went to visit my grandfather he only knew that we were Nicky’s six kids. He spoke very little English but we did know that Hershey kisses were in the refrigerator.

I do remember that it always rained on fathers day so we all had to stay in the garage. but as kids we did not really care they had loud music and we all danced to the Supreme, It truly brings me back to a wonderful time in my life.

Now I wanted to go to the cemetery and see how many family members I could find in St. Mary’s no this is a really tough job. My brother Nick and I walked through the cemetery and tried to find our family tree. I know we could have gone to the office and asked for a road map of my family but that would not be the same so we tried it on our own. The deal was that who ever found my grandfathers grave first the other one had to by dinner and drinks.

It was raining really hard, no umbrellas and we started walking where we thought was the location. I am not happy to say that it cost me allot of money by the end of the day So you know Nick found my Grandfather, and from their we found several family members.

Now today is Fathers Day and I went to the cemetery to visit my fathers grave, again I am thinking back to what my life is all about just because of who and what my father did for me. I have to say he had so much wisdom that I sometimes have to think how did he know all that

It has been 14 years since my father died in a car accident and some days feels like it was yesterday.

My world changed more that I can say on that day. But as each new journey comes into my life I go to the cemetery and feel the peace and grounding I get in a cemetery. It makes me feel like, time is a gift so use it wisely. So On this Fathers day I wish that you were able to take the time to reflect and spent time with your father or grandfather, or just a wonderful safe feeling for someone who made you who you are today.

So if my father were here today I would love to tell him Thanks for all your family time together, All the great wisdom you have shared with all of us and most of all the time you spent giving to our family and making memories we will never forget. I love and miss you Dad.

Happy Fathers Day to all Make some great Memories
