Safety on my new boat was the most important thing but we bought our boat at the middle of last year so we only had time to drive it for a month.
Now we really think we are all that and then some so every Sat we would go out on the boat and stop in the middle of the lake and read the papper or have lunch. We had a great time. But that was only because we new Nothing about boats mind you we have a beautiful summer home on the water with a little row boat. But we knew that we needed lunch and suntan lotion and the day was great.
After the season ended we knew that we had to take a class in boating so we signed up at the college and had a date night for 8 weeks and we really did have fun dinner and class. Now that I am a collage student but I also had to take a test at the end of the class. Now date night was not so much fun.
I did it I got 96 on my test and I was thrilled. I am never going back to school for anything but I will keep the date night.

Safety for my Mother Well I hope you enjoyed Mothers day with your Mom or kids I did. I helped my mother open her summer home. While I spent the whole weekend with my mom I cleaned and made sure that her home for the summer was in perfect shape for her. Now as I looked around her home I wondered if she felt safe staying their alone. I asked her what would you do if someone broke into the house, My mother is not one you really want to get mad, so she pulls out this pipe next to the bed and belive me I know she would beat this guy to death if she had to so, Now she takes out the pepper spray I gave her and shows me how to use it I was not suprized that she did but that she was ok and said she test the pepper spray about every 3 months. Just when you think your mom is getting old I know my Mother can take care of herself.
Please take the time to talk to your mom and see if she if safe and knows what to do if someone brakes into her home. You will be happy you did later. We never know when we could become a victim so protect your self Now.

While I just spent the weekend in Atlantic City I had a wonderful time. I love the night life and the sound of people all around. 25 years ago I worked in Las Vegas and what a great time I had their.
Now it was about 4 AM and I was just playing the slots, when this guy came over to me drunk and said can you give me some money to get on the next bus. Now I am thinking this guy is really drunk at that second I went to get up and he sat down next to me and put his ticket in the machine. I said to him If you take that money out of the machine cash it in you will have the money for the bus. Now at this point he was not happy lucky for me I only had a couple of dollars in my machine so I took the ticket out and walked away from him. Just as I sat down thinking I was ok he walked up to me again but I really don’t think he remembered who I was. Now when he asked for money I said get the ____ away from me and reached into my pocketbook and took out my pepperspray lipstick. Working in Vegas I know the eye in the sky saw what was going on but just in case I was ready for this guy either way. I got up and knew it was not a good idea to go to the room and wake my husband up so I just went to the crap table where their was alot of people.
I did go to security and let them know who this guy was. But I have to tell you that just the fact that I had the pepper spray I felt safe.
Never go to your room when someone is watching you.
Always find other people and move near them.
Always be on your guard you never know.
Get some personal protection either a pepper spray or a personal alarm.
Casinos are aware of everything that is going on at all times.

Its January 3, 2008 That will take a month to get used to. Are you ready to get organized what the heck is that sometimes I think that when you mean organized it means to sweep the floor. But this year I cleaned the floor and my desktop. All I have to do is take down my holiday stuff, put them away, clean my office, remove files from my computer, Hey wait I really don’t want to do any of that I want to sit and watch The Plant of the Apes, then I will start my work. It will take me a year to figure out what to do first and the more I read about getting organized the worse it gets. So we write list that awalys helps so when I throw the list out I have done something.
This year I am just going to do what I want to do and see how that works out, what is the worst thing that could happen no one talks to me (that just may work out).
Hey if you have any ideas about getting out of this organized mode let me know. It helps to know I am not the only one who doesn’t want to be perfect. Even though I run 2 businesses and need to get organized. I think I will make one day of the week just about me.
Happy Holidays This is the second best time of the year. I love the holiday season when things are crazy and then you wake up and realize its time to get your life togeather. The week between Christmas and New Years is like the nesting time. I start my taxes, I write notes of things I really want to do in the New Year.
Now the new year is almost 5 days away and all my sticky notes are all over the place but I still have 5 days, by the time December 31 comes I will have one note left and that is what I will work on in the new year.
I am so grateful for everyday in my life. I have had so many people who come into my life for a time and then they move on, but the great thing is I wonder why it makes me understand people better. Working with women for 25 years I have learned so much. You would be amazed at how much better you life would be if when you meet someone you think what are you doing crossing my path what will you teach me. Even a fight if you are aware will bring out the meaning.
Next time you are in the store food shopping look around and see how many people are smiling or just moving through your life. Now take time to remember someone who took time to smile and let you check out before you.

Stop and think what life would be like if you were not their and how many people you have crossed paths with in your lifetime.
Take time to enjoy the life that you made for you and your family (its says allot about who you are)

Now that our storm has passed and we all had a chance to spend the Sunday with our family’s we have to deal with the ice.
I just came back from Walmart and the parking lot is a sheet of ice and it is 3 days after the storm. I am not sure about you but if you live in upstate NY this storm was a blessing I was able to get everything done in my house. I have Christmas Eve and being the Italian family we have about 40 people for dinner I so love it. I have no kids so it makes it a little easy for me then anyone else and all the kids love it. My Sister make stocking for all the kids so they can open them while we are waiting and it is great because all the familys bring something little to put in the stockings.
I would love to hear your stories of what you do Christmas Eve.

As a New Yorker I lived in Flushing Oueens and went to St Mels gramma school, FLewis High school. Now Living in upstate NY about an hour out of the city. I love to go back in the winter time around the holidays. This was the weekend to be their It was beautiful with the snow comming down and the streets were full of holiday shoppers. I often wonder what people think of NY so I was having breakfast and the couple sitting next to me was from London. How I love to here them talk, My question to them was What was the one thing about NY that you found to be just as everyone said? Ok so we are not suprized that the answer was that New Yorkers have one word answers and it is not hello or goodby it is that way or turn left at the end of the street. Let me tell you why NY is not a place to chat. First the weather is cold this time of year, second they all have somewhere to go and 5 minutes will make them late for a train or bus or even the walk they have so we really don’t have time to stop and chat about where you are going.

I bought my husband this GPS System and thought that I should try it out before I gave it to him. I was going to meet him at our lake house in upstate NY about 3 hour drive. He left in the afternoon. So I am leaving at 6 oc Thur night and everything is going great I just could not understand why the GPS kept saying caution I am thinking hey does this really know that I am driving 75- 80 mph, so I slowed down but thank God that was not it. As I am driving she keeps talking to me and I am wondering how she knows things that I don’t.
I am tired and just want to get to the house. Then out of no where she tells me to make a left on this dark road that I never heard of , I say wait a minute I have been driving this road for 20 years and I am not turning around because you tell me to. Ok so I am fighting with my GPS I guess it is better then my husband. I am waiting for her to tell me to pull over and get out of the car. After she reprograms where I want to go because I did not listen to her she has a very calm voice untill you don’t do what she say then she really nags you to make a u-turn or turn at the next left, I just turned the radio up when she kept nagging me. So now I know why my husband does that same thing. Bottom line is would he really like this as a gift. To bad I could not play my voice and he can hear me all the time.
The weekend was wonderful and my GPS was not so good on the way home she must be mad at me because she really did not say anything going home.
