There is no such thing as a once in a life-time opportunity. If something is that great a deal it will be there
tomorrow or after you’ve had a chance to talk with someone at your bank or the police station about it. If someone
is pressuring you to make a decision NOW and won’t let you think about it – something is wrong. Walk
away. That said, the best way to avoid all kinds of scams is to stay off crooks radar. Keep your personal information
personal. Don’t share your address, workplace or any other information unless there’s a real reason for
it. Shred all your personal information before putting it in the trash. Use a paper shredder with a cross-cut feature
to ensure information is truly destroyed. If it is correspondence of any kind, get in the habit of shredding it
before you throw it away.
